jab Posted January 27, 2014 Report Posted January 27, 2014 Hey folks, I'm having trouble finding an LF33 here in Taiwan. Any suggestions for a substitution? The data sheet calls this part a "VERY LOW DROP VOLTAGE REGULATORS WITH INHIBIT", but I don't quite understand the details and I wouldn't be able to explain in Chinese (I'm an expat). Thanks in advance. Quote
TK. Posted January 27, 2014 Report Posted January 27, 2014 Any voltage regulator which converts from 5V to 3.3V should do this job, as long as it supports at least 500 mA (fine if it also supports 1A) Maybe you can find a LM7833? -> http://www.taitroncomponents.com/catalog/Datasheet/LM7833.pdf Best Regards, Thorsten. Thanks Thorsten - I took a look around the "electronics street" and wasn't able to find a 7833, best I could come with are these: 7585-3.3T: http://pdf.datasheetcatalog.com/datasheets2/59/590930_1.pdf LM3940: http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/lm3940.pdf Are either of these suitable? TK. Posted February 2, 2014 Report Posted February 2, 2014 Both are suitable, but LM3940 is the better choice because the pinning is compatible to LF33 -> buy it! :) Best Regards, Thorsten. Quote
