A little MBHP burner tip.

Hi all,

A true story and maybe helpful for someone else.

I'm from Holland and new here and only because the Philip Rees Midi Merger is obsolete. I'm Glad that this site has a DIY project for this.

So, I started to build the MBHP-Burner on a vectorboard. I use a 15V DC adapter but whatever I tried I could'n get the required 13.1V between J2 and MCLM# for burning a PIC16F88. After a week of reading the forum, replacing IC1, IC2 and T1 I found that IC2 was the trouble here. When not connected I could measure 14.5V, connected only 12.3V. Finally I decided to put it on another place in the scheme. Now 78L05 is connected between LM317-O and C3. I have 13.1V and burning goed like a charm!

Now I'm ready for the next step. Building the Merger and see if the burning was really succesful. And who knows maybe more.
