Radio Tuner Fader as MiDI Interface

hello -

i am a total beginner - I am interested in midi cause I am working on an art-installation including several old transistor radios. I would like to connect these radios to PD and use the tuning fader as controll pad for some synths in pd. now, could anybody tell me, if its possible, to use these old faders for midi or if not, what sort of faders I should buy. as an alternative I would fake the radios with real midi faders.

Hi,

do you know the resistance of the faders (values between 1k and 10kOhm are ok) and the output curve (must be linear, logratihmic faders/pots won't work)
