Guest pHaTb0y Posted December 17, 2003 Report Posted December 17, 2003 OK, maybe someone can help, especially you, Thorsten:Please excuse my bad english ;DFinally, long time after starting to work on my MB64, I found the time to allmost finish it, but I'm facing a problem: when I connect the AINx boards, all those pots between +5V and GND are causing a "nice" power drain: first I got scared when I tryed to power it from a 500 mA universal adapter, cause it was not working at all (voltage after the 7805 < 2V), then it worked just fine without the AINx. I have powered it with an AT PC power source, and it was eating a little bit more than 2 amps. That's not OK, that's not 500 mA. I'm pretty shure that there's no shortening on the power lines (allthough I'll check again today). Any sugestions ?
Guest pHaTb0y Posted December 17, 2003 Report Posted December 17, 2003 Hmm, there might be a "loose wire", I've made a calculation and the resistance of all those pots should be 156.25 ohm... hmm... I'm going home to check again :D
TK. Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 You made a good analysis! :)Best Regards, Thorsten.
