bloodniece
ok,so i got AIN working and all DIN buttons work except buttons1+2+3+4, which are needed to do the menu of course.I doubled check my soldering but 3 of the four buttons don''t work.Bad button? Meter test, no good button. Out of curiousity I try bypassing the buttons and shorting from ground on J3 to the individual pins on IC1 (i.e. pins I7,I6,I5) and still no dice. This works on all 29 other buttons except these.Perhaps a bad 74HC165? I know you can reassign the menu buttons with code but I'm at a complete loss on where and how.I'm gettin so close to midibox meltdown.thanks<blood
TK.
Hi,just swap two of the 74HC165 to test if one of them has a defect.Best Regards, Thorsten.
bloodniece
Thorsten,I swapped 'em and the same thing occurs. Would those 3 contacts actually send a midi message or are those MiOS exclusive ( i'm using midiox to monitor since my LCD is not working.) I should also note that the other side of that IC works.blood
TK.
You didn't wrote which application you've used to test the DINs.If you are using the MIDIbox64 application, then: of course, they are assigned to the menu functions. You can disable the menu buttons in main.asm by changing the pin numbers (DEFAULT_DIN_MENU_*) to >= 64Best Regards, Thorsten.
