most of the pcs for my mbox have come from jaycar.

encoders = impossable to find and expensive

lcd=dick smith (next ones will be from futurlec MUCH cheaper)

Things i would get in a bulk order switches,enc,pots,knobs.

I too would be interested in getting vfd's perhaps in the future though. i have my 2x40 lcd to play with now.
