Guest didifeed
hi there!i'm still trying to get my core module running. checked several things to figure out the error etc. i also did the "tutorial" for midi troubleshooting (led test etc.). as i got no signal when attatching a led to the midi out i fixed a problem with a cold solder at the xtal and then the box passed this test also. so i was happy and prayed that my box will work after that. before i fixed this problem i also tryed to loopback the midi interface of my soundcard (m-audio delta ap 2496). this worked for me. but after a few attempts to get the core running i did it again and now it won't work anymore. all other things of my soundcard are working fine (wavout, input) so... is it possible that i shredded the midi interface of the card?thxgreez
TK.
Hi,thats very unlikely! The MIDI Out is (normaly) protected with a resistor, so that a short cannot destroy the hardware. Mostly it's the driver which locks up the interface. I've the same problem with a M-Audio MIDIsport 2x2, under some special circumstances (I haven't understand it yet...) the MIDI Out doesn't work anymore until the next Windows reboot.Best Regards, Thorsten. Guest didifeed
arghi have also installed a new driver and did a reboot. still no input. in midiox only the midi out (of the delta ap) at the midi port activity flickers. but i think thats no indicator that the card really sends something.don't know what to do. and it's not fine that i perhaps will have to send my card back and have to wait for a new one. so it seems that my midibox project is paused now :( >:( :(greez
