adamjking Posted April 19, 2004 Report Share Posted April 19, 2004 Hi guys,I'm creating all my boards from scratch on vector/prototype boards and have a question for any electronics experts. When linking up components, is it best to use wire links or have a long solder track? I would prefer to create a solid track from solder where possible as it would be more secure, I'm just wondering if there are any bad side affects due to noise or whatever.Any advice, or does it not matter? chromdildo Posted April 21, 2004 Report Share Posted April 21, 2004 A good, easy and save way is to reverse engeneer the pcb layouts published on ucapps.de. They are small and handy. Just get the eagle version (link found on the shematic downloads) and zoom close enough to get the connections of the components. Wire them with enough space to trace back errors.When everything is working, ok. If not: follow both pcb-layout-wiring and your vector-board-wiring...You got 2 sources to use in debug process.
