Guest marr
I'm just getting started playing with electricity so I'm unsure which LEDs to get for my SEQ...I got SmashTV's DOUT kit (btw, very promptly and neatly shrink wrapped too!) and it came with 220-ohm resistors. If I picked up some 2.1V min, 3.0V max (@ IF of 10mA) LEDs, am I right in thinking that this will be OK with the R220's?I should be getting around 2.8V/10mA to each LED. Is that suitable or too close to 3.0V for the R's tolerance (5%)?Anyone have a favorite diffused LED to use in these projects?
pay_c
The LEDs dont mind if you push them with 5 Volt or more. The 3 Volt max you stated is just the maximum brightness voltage, I think. So, for ~ 10 mA (min) 220 Rs are OK cause they will give you about 25 mA (5Volt/220)Greetz!
