bblaze
i'm working away at the sid, i've built 2 core/sids , both are having the same problem.. the interconnect test is not affecting the output pins on the sid socket.. it is receiving midi, as i can see the midi out port change when i send data.. all pins that would be used for the interconnect test show 5v.. i've tried unplugging the pic, which drops it to 0v as does unplugging the 595.. any idea what's going on here? bblaze
ok.. i got this issue squared away,, i didn't read the mios section to well, and was used to loading pics slightly differently... so,my interconnect test works great.. no probs.. hook up the sid, try to send a note, expecting something, nope, nothing.. so, i loaded up the jsynthlib and loaded some patches on i think.. still no output.. i do see midi in and out in midi-ox, and i can ping the core fine and all.. what nextt? bblaze
one other thing i've noticed during my session tonite, the sid and the crystal both get hot when i apply 12v.. i've checked the voltage to the chip, and it looks good..
