Pierrot
Hello Everybody !!My MIDibox have 8 faders , and I want to assign them to the Cubase'console. If I make the assignation of the first 8 virtual faders of Cubase , how could I make the assignation of 8 other virtual faders without "export" the setings from the firsts faders ?I mean does exist in MIOS a functiun who allow to "transpose" the assignation of controler to an other one ( because I have 8 faders but I would like to controle more , like 20 or 30 in Cubase).Thank a lot , and I hope U'll understand what I try to explain ( ...because my english is not really nice ;D :P)Bye Pierrot
moebius
Hi, Pierrot!Have you already read document "Cubase setup" under HOWTOs at ucapps.de?What midibox do you have, and If it's MIOS based, do you have bankstick (needed for more than one setup)?Really, what you want to do is map Cubase faders (ect.) to different controllers (as you have done), and then configure midibox with different banks for different controllers. Then, by switching banks in midibox, you can control all things you have made midi controllable in Cubase.Bye, Moebiusps. don't hesitate to ask more help
Rowan
Hi,Have a VERY long hard look at the generic remote set up in cubase. It's amazing what can be done with a MIDIbox and this (in fact any device that spits out MIDI data) It can take a long time to set it up so it will work the way you want but it's well worth the effort. I set up a MB64 with it a it took a whole weekend to get it right but was worth it. I'm now using a Fostex VM200 digital mixer with it, as my MB64 doesn't have motorfader and the VM200 does (And it looks nicer than my MB). You don't need banksticks to change fader banks, all you have to do is set up multipul remote templates and assign a couple of buttons on your MB to switch between them. The Generic remote in Cubase SX is VERY powerful (as far as I understand SX2's generic remote is even better). Use it!!!!!!!RegardsRowan
