SounDuke Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 is it possible to harm diodes simply testing with a battery meter the resistance on its sides? I mean, I tested a diode and I put the + of tester on the - of the diode. Must I drop the last in the bin? Quote
Synapsys Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 Hi,If by battery meter you mean a multi-meter than the answer is no. A multi-meter when measuring resistance has a very high impedance a very low current. This will not typically harm a diode.Cheers, Synapsys Quote
