Guest epochsounds Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 I'm not sure what I need to do this. Does a DC wall adapter surfice? If so, which one? Also, which socket fits it? Quote
raphael Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 How do I power the thing? What thing ???If you mean a midibox: It depends on what you use: How many Cores, LCDs, Motorfaders, AUOT?Has the LCD backlight? Quote
Guest epochsounds Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 MIDIbox 64. Core, AIN, DIN, DOUT, LCD w/backlight Quote
raphael Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 From the CORE site:Connection to the powersupply. Either the output of a 7V-10V transformer, or a wall adapter can be used. 500 mA is recommented, especially if a backlit display is used, but MIDIfilter and MIDImerger work also with ca. 100 mA. AC or DC doesn't matter, since the rectifier behind J1 converts to DC anyhow. Also the polarity has not to be taken into account. 500mA 7-10V wall adaper is sufficient. I use 1A adapters for things like the SEQ, which has 2 bigger LCDs with backlight. The backlight gets its own 7805 too.Raphael Quote
