been enjoying the sun and away from my soldering iron but now the winter evenings are drawing in Im back on the case! So todays pure parts question is:

Has anyone got or seen working one of these screens:

Hi,

Did a minute cross reference between HD44780 datasheet and their online "General Specifications" page and I'm willing to bet that it's just another HD44780 compatible display (with some errors on their online reference ;D - in the instruction code chart).
