bosone Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 in searching for a case for my upcoming new double synth + analog CV filter, i decided to reuse the c64 one...the space is very limited inside, i think that there will be the space for 2 core, 2 sid, 1 CV module, 1 DIN and only one ms20 analog filter (not the two i thought to build...)i will build the "step B" control surface, with just an encoder and some pushbutton.the idea: i will re-use gour of the original C64 pushbutton (the F1-F8 ones, you will see in the figure). since the original c64 buttons are just "actuators" and not closing buttons themselves, i will mount a tiny button, the one that you could find in the PC mouse. i just tested that, if you make two small hole in the PCB under the C64 keyboard and then insert these buttons, the system will work! :-)a nice addition to the C64 "feeling"!the work will however take me a lot of time, and i don't know when my sid unit will come to life!
