capacitors on the power supply

i would ask if, on the classic midibox power supply scheme, i can replace the el. capacitor (10uF one) after the regulator (7805/09/12) with one with more farad... i have a lot of el caps rated 22uF, 39, even 100uF, all with voltage rating > 16V.
