Hi,

in the studio I'm working at, we've got tw units of ADT 5MT.

http://www.adt-audio.com/Products/5MTSystem/5MTMR/5MTMRMainPage.html

As you can see on the right channel (left side of the faders), there are 20 LEDs.

Another picture of  the cassette:

These LEDs show the position (in automation-mode) of the faders,

which are not motorized.

In my opinion, this is a very cool feature and would be useful

for many users of the Midibox.

Cubase & Logic send out the position of the volume-curve and

this is shown on the LEDs ...

Is this possible to translate this idea to the Midibox?

Best,

Tobias

The only reason to build this "oldfashion" positioning indication is to safe money on the motorfaders. This indication type was used on early VCA automated desks. I think motor faders are a approvement... Me myself hated to work with this type of automation (we had that on an old Sony/MCI console).

The problem with MIOS is that you only have 128 DOuts, which gives you only 16 LEDs per channel.

yeah ... perhaps it is old fashioned, but you really can safe much of money :-)

I don't think that this solution is > 100 EUR (link the good ALPS or used P+Gs) and it looks good.

16 LEDs should work also, but how to realize i?
