Help!!!

I can't do the hex conversion, I've read past threads with similar problems, loaded active perl, moved the relevent files into the bin folder

typed the commands into a new shell, the perl shell and the result nothing except some messages

saying the file or perl script can,t be found even when I know it's there. all I want is to be able to burn my PICs with mios device ids

0x01,2,3 for my multi sid slaves. Any ideas? I'm not too clever programming or coding wise, give me a pile of components and a soldering iron any day, I'm tearing my hair out with frustration. any help would be most appreciated..

Thanks    Jorge..

Hi Jorge,

there must be something wrong with your installation (I'm no Windows expert...)

However, you could use Serge's SysEx loader which allows you to upload the .syx file with a different device ID w/o the need for generating a new .syx

Best Regards, Thorsten.

Thanks Thorsten, as always it pays to  read every page of the web site. I had  looked at serge's sysx loader but over looked its

id changing facility. Hopefully all will be well now. I'll keep you posted on  progress.

I think the problems I had with Perl possibly are to do with my set up of windows, has anybody else had problems re XP and Perl?

I'll post some pictures of progress soon.

Cheers...... Jorge    ;D
