Lo-Fi_Massahkah
After the last couple of days with people cheering me on to get my MBSid project started. I finally got around to it and soledered the Core. All seemed well. Except that it took quite a while since I had to look up every component on the web to get a grip of what was happening.Well, following TKs instructions, I mounted everything but the PIC and optocoupler and went on to check the voltages.Zip, zero, nothing on the points that TK pointed out. ??? :'( ??? I've got power from the 15V ac adaptor so that's all good. But how do I go about checking for where I've made a mistake? As stated in my earlier posts - I'm all new at this. So please talk to me like a four-year old.Cheers,Mikael
arumblack
Just look on the schematic and trace the power lines backwards.. there is a header (J2) after the large cap, for powering additional cores, right before the voltage regulator. that should get some voltage greater than 5v ,depends on your supply voltage, should get the same across the big Cap. Are you sure you put in the voltage regulator the proper way? how about the bridge rectifier?
Lo-Fi_Massahkah
Thanks, man! After checking the board with my multimeter, I realized that a couple of the bridges were broken. Bad soldering, I guess. Now all seems well!
