  1. Hi Afro! I bought an old brown C64 at a local indoor flea market for 200 swedish kronor (about 22 euros). I'm glad I got the whole computer, since I can use the case and keys for other DIY projects (I'm itching for a MidiBox Seq). There's been talk on this forum about people selling faulty SIDs - I guess you'd be better off buying a complete C64 (or 128), since you can see how worn it looks and if it's been taken apart for spares. You could easily get one on Ebay for less than 20 euros, but then there's the shipping... This forum is great if you run into problems - I'm certainly not one of the experienced builders here, but if you have questions feel free to ask away! Good luck, Mikael
  2. Is that you, Afrokid? Cheers, Mikael
  3. Finally! I made it... :D Well this might be a rare combination - don't know how many people own a G2 (key) and has built a MIDIBox SID (www.ucapps.de) without control surface. But this patch is for you! It's actually a performance since not everything would fit into one slot. Here's a short roundup - please mail me for further information! * Use in global mode - all synth controls are layed out to the knobs and buttons. In a fairly logic way...  ;) * Slot C has a WT replacement to make it easier to sync to midi clock. This is only accessible from the G2 editor (for now?). * Slot D has charge over the mod matrix. This wouldn't fit on the global parameter overview, so it has it's own assignment. Access this when global is switched off. * All midi CCs are updated when changing variations (all those connections ate a lot of memory). I have programmed eight sounds for your listening pleasure. * There is a simple effects section in slot D if you wish to patch your SID through the G2. Controls are available in parallell to the mod matrix. Enjoy! /Mikael Download the .prf at http://www.electro-music.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6056
  4. Thanks, my friend! That alcohol seems to have no affect on you what so ever... ;) Cheers, Mikael
  5. Hmmm... When reading this again - I get confused. ??? How can I send a CC above 127? /Mikael
  6. Thank you very much, StrydOne and Sjakie! Sleep or no sleep these are excellent explanations... :) I'll continue my patch today! Regards, Mikael
  7. Hi, I'm trying to build a MidiboxSid controller in my Clavia G2 - so far so good. But I'm having problems understanding the following from the CC-implementation: I don't understand the "bit 6-4" concept, and I can't seem to figure it out backwards since only Tri waves are mentioned in the example. It should be stated that I really haven't done much Hex/Bin calculations... ever! :-\ Any help would be appreciated! Cheers, Mikael
  8. Thanks Thorsten, I should have been more observant to put it in the right forum. :-\ Wow... Is it really this simple - seems to good to be true! Cheers, Mikael
  9. Hi, I have four joystick pots lying around since I tried to mod my UC-33e. I have a BCR2000 so I don't really feel the need to build a controller MidiBox. But none the less, I'd like to use those pots. Here's my idea... I'm building a MidiBox SEQ2, and I was thinking maybe I could incorporate the pots in that project. Not to deal with the actual sequencer, but rather as a means to send CCs on a given midi channel, for example. I guess I'll have to get an AIN board, but is there an easy way of adding the extra code to the PIC, making the function available in parallell to the sequencer? Regards, Mikael
  10. Allright! ;D I'm convinced! Thanks for your time. /Mikael
  11. Thorsten, Are there any ergonomics that I'm not considering, except for the fact that it won't be alligned with the pots and buttons? Thanks, Mikael
  12. Thanks Thorsten - you're quick! So that would mean that I could replace the 2 LCDs with one, for the SEQ project...? Cheers, Mikael
  13. So what would happen if I put a 4x40 on the SEQ2 instead af the double 2x40. Anyone have the answer? Regards, Mikael
  14. Did anyone get this to work? I'd like to edit patches either via my BCR2000 or prefearably my Glavia G2. I got the BCR to send the above sysex to my SID, but I can't really get it to work. Ideas? Cheers, Mikael
