SounDuke Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 After reading in Wiki SmashTV's how to connect LCD article, I realized that my lcd backlight doesn't work because it requires a negative voltage on the anode. Do you think that realizing the little converter using an ICL - 7660 like shown here http://shellyinc.com/ean-6.htm will do the trick? I'll connect pin 8 of the IC with the LCD anode what do you think? Quote
moebius Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 Oh no, nono-no. If this IS really about backlight (not about display contast Or V0).The backlight is completely separated from the other circuits, it only needs one side (Anode) to be connected to "more positive" voltage than the other (Cathode) - BL only cares about voltage potential between it's inputs..BYe, Moebius Quote
