clock freq on 24lc256

was just wondering what freqence the clock is on the bankstik (24lc256)

and why the pull up resistor is 1 k the datasheet says

Therefore, the SDA bus requires a pull-up

resistor to VCC (typical 10 k? for 100 kHz, 2 k? for

400 kHz and 1 MHz).

frequency: up to 400 kHz, pull-up resistor value: 1k doesn't hurt here, than lower, than better (ok, the current consumption with < 100 Ohm would be too high)
