mattias
Hi all!Iam kind of new here but I need some help? I have soldered my first CORE for my SID synt. When I put 9V AC into it I dont get 5V on J2, only something like 2.3V. Half ov what it should be. I am all new to this. But I think my 7805 is to blame. First try to power up i put the 9V AC onto J2 (only for a short time!!!)IC1:MCLR(1) - IC1:Vss(12) = 2.3V IC1:Vdd(11) - IC1:Vss(12) = 2.3V IC1:Vdd(32) - IC1:Vss(31) = 2.3V IC2(8) - IC2:(5) = 2.3VI could be my voltage meter thats crap but it messures the 9V from power supply OK!Please help a guy out!!Mattias
moebius
Could it be, that you have placed the regulator "backwards"?Bye, Moebius
mattias
Dont think so? How can I tellIt is the same way as in the pictures. But it gets really hot!!Mattias
moebius
Ok,If the metal part of the regulator is facing towards PIC, it's ok.. Then it's probably short circuit somewhere. Do a visual inspection of the solderside..Bye, Moebius
mattias
:D :D :D Thanks there was a bad solder (short circuit). It was hard to spot. This was the first thing I ever soldered so the solderside looks like shit but I think I got it right now!!!Thanks ../Mattias
