Alkex Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 Hi,I recently started making my first front panel the "professional" way, using front panel designer software.the entire Sid synth panel (full with vectorised logos, etc) is only costing me 100 euros tax/pp included, can't wait to see the result!!I was therefore wondering if there is such an equivalent for moulding 3D objets such as wood carved Keytar frames, custom knobs, enclosures etc. This would be really exciting.Maybe Its just another dream, or worse, a waist of forum hard drive, but If anyone knew of such a service, this could be cool...Seya, and happy midiboxing!Alkex
Jidis Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 I know Moxi has some stuff on buttons in the Parts Archive forum (DIY illuminated buton, Datawheel for the MIDIbox Community). I've got a thread on fiberglass (I think in the Tips and Tricks forum). There are also box(es?) in the gallery using similar designs. I need to start doing smaller stuff like Moxi's. It makes more sense to make caps to fit a cheap acquired part than to try to find them.Duplicating the switch/fader shafts for the female molding is the main part that frightens me.I really like the fiberglass. I'm figuring it also has potential for making extensions or mods to existing plastic bodies.-George
