Problems downloading Sysex files.

Hi everybody,

I've built a MidiBox64, and everything seems to work well exept that i can't download sysex files.

When i read the PIC eprom after whith ic-prog it's empty.

So i would know if anyone knew what kind of test I can do to find where is the error (i'm a beginer whith Midi).

does the MIDI Merger work?

If not, maybe the instructions on this page: http://www.ucapps.de/howtodebug.html help to find the root cause.

Otherwise the problem must be related to the PC configuration. Which OS are you using, and which download software?

Do you get the LCD message showing dump progress?

(I didn't, and it turned out to an open circuit in the Midi-In circuitry).

Hi,

I've made several kind of test:

I use the midi keyboard whith Midi-ox and i recieve the same data it send, so it doent come from my sound card or my wireing (the test whith test_RxTx.hex worked).

The download worked once (whith serge's sysexbox software) but when i shut down the power of my midibox, the memory were empty again :(.

And i get the same result with 2 PICs.

My OS is winxp, i use sysexbox and midi-ox.

Duggle: i dont have a LCD yet.

So, all the test on http://www.ucapps.de/howtodebug.html worked but i still can not transfer sysex files, and i dont know what to do.

Maybe the download manager has some problems with Cubase SX? (resp. Cubase SX has some problems with the download manager!)

How are the results with MIDI-OX? The SysEx HowTo http://www.ucapps.de/howtosysex.html describes, how this MIDI monitor has to be configured.
