Is it possible to write new functionality in C on top of an existing application (MB64) with the assembly source?

I'm interested in writing the logic to handle button and LED behaviors in C on top of MB64's  assembly source.

The PIC18F452 doesn't provide enough flash memory to combine the MB64 application with C functions
