Enclosures

Been looking around a little for a suitable enclosure to build a MB64E into and most seem to be quite stupidly priced, especially if you feel you're not 100% certain everthing is going to fit right once you have got it anyway. People like OKW are far out of my price range, but some of the stuff my people like Boss and Teko look pretty suitable. Boss can be got at a reasonable price from Farnell if you see one you are certain meets your requirements, and live in a country (such as the UK) where that relates to you, but hear comes thre precious tip:

Teko offer to option to have a sample delivered of any items  of idividual prices of below £50 on a 30 sale or return basis, meaning that you can get it home and make further judgement on whether it will suit you, as long as you don't makes any actual holes or marking on the box itself.

Have found this offer on both the UK and the US site for them.

Maybe some of you may want to see if this is available in other countries. Language barriers make it a little hard for myself ;)

Hi -  I've been going to http://www.par-metal.com/ for my proaudio enclosures.  Their price list is a little old, so expect them to be a few dollar more.    They are located in New Jersey, USA which is close for me living in New England.

So far I have ordered 5 all aluminum 2U enclosures, a 3U, a 5U, and a steel/aluminum combo.  They can also do custom designs for you at about twice the costs listed there.    I'm working on my first MIDIbox, and had a custom job done which I'm waiting on.

If you live in the US, this is a fairly priced place to get your metal on.    I suggest calling them for the order, as the email listed on the site didn't get me a response when I asked them some ordering questions.

cheers~

Jay
