But for such a primitive application, you don't really need the LCD and menu buttons, or are you planning to change the MIDI Note mapping every day? It's better to use the MIDIO128 instead, it provides up to 128 digital outputs (= gate triggers) and can be configured via SysExBest Regards, Thorsten.
