goule Posted January 10, 2006 Report Posted January 10, 2006 Hi all,I've mounted big knobs on my two rotary encoders (see the photos on that thread : http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php?topic=5270.0 )The problem is, they are too easy to turn, and not very precise. Do any of you experienced high quality rotary encoders that are accurate + hard turning ? :PThanks,Goule
machinate Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 the encoders panel mount, right? I'd try mounting them temporarily, and then position the knobs against the surface, to get some tension that way? They must feel totally different that way than turning them right now.
goule Posted January 11, 2006 Author Report Posted January 11, 2006 Thanx for your suggestion, but they are detended encoders, so I doubt that this method produces good results in that case ... (you still have to feel the detents I think)Goule
