MidiBox 64 simple questions

Hi everyone, i am Dimitri.

Last yeat i used midi box 16 as my Reaktor extern controller, so i decided to move on midi box 64.

Upon powering the MidiBox 64, is there any default configuration for messages that pots and buttons from

box will send to PC, without need to configure it in MidiBox menu.

On Thorsen's site in MidiBox 64 tutorial there is no precise information witch buttons are for display menagment,

and also there is no tutorial how to attach extern midi message (from Reaktor) to LED's.

The goal is that i need pots and buttons to send any midi messages, without banking and snapshoting, so i can

use Reaktor midi learn funciton to attach pots and buttons to software actions.

Hi,

You can configure buttons, pots and leds by using Vmidibox and sending this config to the midibox. - http://miostools.midibox.org/

You´ll find menu button definitions from the main.asm file in the Midibox 64 package.

I am from Belgrade SGC, so i was planing to use PIC 16F877 as it is available on my nearby stores.

Is PIC18F452 'must have' or i can get results with older vesrsion?

The PIC16F877 version isn't that bad, but it doesn't offer so much features (don't know anymore which ones are not available... it's too long ago). I also cannot support the PIC16F877 version, since all my MIDIboxes are upgraded to MIOS.
