Guest Flownezz Posted February 28, 2003 Report Posted February 28, 2003 I'm pretty sure the last 4 #'s are batch numbers... The suffix is probably just die revisions - You may want to wait for a second opinion on this just to be sure tho... Quote
Ian_Hurlock Posted February 28, 2003 Report Posted February 28, 2003 HiOut of the 13 SIDS I have demolished I have all sorts ofdates and manufacturers.I stuffed them one by one into the socket and listened.Thing is these littles beauties seem to all have a different sound. :oAt the end of the day they all worked ok except for a couple which were no go's.RegardsIan Quote
bosone Posted February 28, 2003 Report Posted February 28, 2003 13 SIDs??!! well, if mine will not work i'll request one from you!!!i'm about to begin my SIDbox project in a few weeks! Quote
Ian_Hurlock Posted February 28, 2003 Report Posted February 28, 2003 I will start a new one when the SID control is launched. You know I plugged a 8580 in my one by mistake.Quite different to hear.Only realised after I unplgged it that it was a 8580. :-[Lucky I did'nt fry it at 12v. :PI had my kids getting them out the old boards and did'nt check :oI also saved those long DIL sockets from the keyboard with all the connections ready made. i have cut them down for other projects like the flooboard thingy.Ian ;D Quote
