stryd_one
HelloI noticed alot of Nz/oz midiboxers and was wondering if anyone can help me find a good cheap source for parts for a midibox lc (mainly motorfaders) Cheers Really? Where'd you see all these down-under types? I know there's me and Wilba... Flownez in WA (where are you mate?)... Anyone else?Personally, I just order my parts from overseas, or my local store... Sometimes you can spend so much time trying to find cheap parts that, when you factor in the cost of your time, the parts end up costing more... Rowan
Hi,I was in NZ, based in Auckland. I got alot of my parts from a place called Surpulstronics on Queen Street, It's a great store. But not much help if your in wellington. After 3 years of building MB's in NZ I never managed to find a source of MF's. My best advice is buy a BFC2000 (I don't think the faders are touch sensitive) and pull it to bits or contact a service center for someone like Yamaha (music works) or Beheringer (Rockshop) and try to get parts from them. I don't know who distributes Tascam in NZ, but they recently released a control surface with 24 motor faders which is reletivly cheap, so parts from them might be priced OK. Don't bother with Mackie, the faders from the Mackie/Logic control are $125 a pop :-X.Another avenue is to buy bit's of grear from trademe and rip it to bit's. That's what I did with this:http://69.56.171.55/~midibox/forum/index.php?topic=3726.0best of luckRowan
