Velaskin Posted May 9, 2006 Report Posted May 9, 2006 hi there,... this might be a stupid question. But I didn't find anything about it so far...I know, that it's possible to work with multiple layers for buttons/encoders, so that you can have multiple functions on one button/encoder by switching the layer. As far as I understood it, these layers work for the whole button/encoder layout, right? So, if you switch the layer, the whole panel switches. What I would need, would be a way to have multiple independant layers for certain areas of the panel. In (hopefully) better words:Let's say, you have 8 buttons with two layers. And then you have another 8 buttons with two layers. Is it possible to switch layers independantly for those two button-groups?cheers,John
stryd_one Posted May 9, 2006 Report Posted May 9, 2006 Yes. You can make the buttons do whatever you want, so long as you are prepared to modify the firmware :)
Velaskin Posted May 10, 2006 Author Report Posted May 10, 2006 ah ok. So basically it's like I understood it.Anything else can be done "by hand" ;D
moebius Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 Would it be sufficient to define multiple banks in a such way that only part of the encoder/ button are changed and other parts are similar to the other bank?Moebius
