rambinator
This question goes out to all of you who used the encoders from voti.nl in you midibox. How did you attach those to your frontpanel?Did you put the threaded shaft through the panel and use the nut that came with the encoder? then the rotating shaft would be too long for my caps and i would have to saw it off.Or did you put the enoders on a vectorboard? the pins of the encoders are too thick for standard boards...so i am quite unsure which approach i should choose
illogik
hey;about the pins on vectorboard , you can bend them or drill the hiles of the board one size largerabout panel mount or vectorboard;what you want, panel mount is way more solid (no stress on the pins) but vectorboard looks nicer(btw try using spacers between body of encoder and frontpanel to keep em as low as possible)
