Midibox Seq Sync (ie not midi but sync to TR909)

Strangely with my TR-606 it will sync to the sequencer but only when the TR-606 is set to sync out. Very weird! It does sync perfectly but the 606 does not behave as per usual. Ive only really noticed this behavior since I went to V3. Is it possible I have wired it up back to front or something???

Only difference between V2 and V3 is, that V3 supports a Start/Stop signal.

What happens, if this signal is not connected (Pin RC1)?
