modularkomplex Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 Hi,i've built a Pic-Burner. All tests except SCLK on/off are passed fine. But when switching SCLK on or off nothing happens - always 5v on RB6. For testing i've exchanged the 74hc14, same results.Any ideas whats going wrong?Mike
moogah Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 I don't have any specific information about the PIC Burner module, but looking at the schematic I would want to know if pin 1 and 6 of the 74hc14 shows a clock signal.
modularkomplex Posted September 11, 2006 Author Report Posted September 11, 2006 Hi,thanks, I think you mean pin 1 and 4 as 6 is for Data Out. I've measured pin 1 and 4, giving me 5v independed of the SCLK switch. Mike
carsten_the_dane Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 The end of my topic (burner question) is about the same problem, only that it goes for all options in P18.Havent found an answer yet - it was just to let you know (not that you can use it :-\)Carsten
TK. Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 Did you also measure the voltages directly at the LPT port?Best Regards, Thorsten.
modularkomplex Posted September 14, 2006 Author Report Posted September 14, 2006 Oh man, why didn't I came to this idea by myself. Doh!But the results, hmm. 1,62 volts independend of the SCLK switch. Don't know what this means. Bad Parallel-Port? (measured with plugged-in burner, without power-supply. had let recognise the burner by p18 and turned the power of after that)I'm using the recommended cable from Reichelt.Mike
modularkomplex Posted September 15, 2006 Author Report Posted September 15, 2006 Hi,I've found the error! It was the Parallel-Port, really disturbing that only the SCLK-Signal doesn't work. But ok, with another PC it works as desired. Thanks to you all for your help!Mike
