Connecting Optimised PSU to MBSid Advice

Hiya,

what's the best way to connect power from an optimised PSU to the MBSid board (mine is the SmashTV version)? I ask because the connection diagram says the 5V power from the PSU should be connected to 2 pins of J2. Does this preclude using a ribbon-cable to connect the Core and Sid modules? Is it better to use seperate wires, maybe heat-shrinked together? Any thoughts, anyone?

Hi Alex,

Im using a paired wire with 0.14mm2 with crimp-connectors on both ends, works fine. Picture is from Reichelt showing the 3-pole version.

That looks like a good plan. I'm going to get myself a crimping tool and make up my own, I think.
