Laslo
Hi guys, Well I ended up getting the core back on track, reflashed the PIC, got a new LCD and all that jazz and its working great. Installed MIOS, copyright message and ready appear. All is well. :)However when I attach the LTC module and try it, the MIDI in LED stays lit and the LCD reverts back to the black bars. In MIOS studio i get these messages:00 00 7E 40 00 0E 0B 01 F700000002129888 ms | Sysex message: F0 00 00 7E 40 00 01 F700000002129888 ms | Sysex message: F0 00 00 7E 40 00 0E 0B 01 F700000002129909 ms | Sysex message: F0 00 00 7E 40 00 01 F700000002129914 ms | Sysex message: F0 00 00 7E 40 00 0E 0B 01 F700000002129919 ms | Sysex message: F0 00 00 7E 40 00 01 F700000002129919 ms | Sysex message: F0 00 00 7E 40 00 0E 0B 01 F700000002129919 ms | Sysex message: F0 00 00 7E 40 00 01 F700000002129919 ms | Sysex message: F0 00 00 7E 40 00 0E 0B 01 F700000002129937 ms | Sysex message: F0 00 00 7E 40 00 01 F700000002129937 ms | Sysex message: F0 00 00 7E 40 00 0E 0B 01 F700000002129937 ms | Sysex message: F0 00 00 7E 40 00 01 F700000002129937 ms | Sysex message: F0 00 00 7E 40 00 0E 0B 01 F700000002129937 ms | Sysex message: F0 00 00 7E 40 00 01 F700000002129965 ms | Sysex message: F0 00 00 7E 40 00 0E 0B 01 F700000002129965 ms | Sysex message: F0 00 00 7E 40 00 01 F700000002129965 ms | Sysex message: F0 00 00 7E 40 00 0E 0B 01 F700000002129965 ms | Sysex message: F0 00 00 7E 40 00 01 F700000002129983 ms | Sysex message: F0 00 00 7E 40 00 0E 0B 01 F700000002129987 ms | Sysex message: F0 00 00 7E 40 00 01 F700000002129987 ms | Sysex message: F0 00 00 7E 40 00 0E 0B 01 F700000002129987 ms | Sysex message: F0 00 00 7E 40 00 01 F7over and over again, quite rapidly.I've double checked the polarity of the capacitors and made sure the right resistors are in the right places etc.2 ain modules connect fine without any troubles.I'm planning on using it as extra MIDI out and MIDI thru ports. I've tried it with the two IC's and without.Any ideas/suggestions would be a great help!Thanks!
TK.
Hi,could it be that you've mounted the MAX232, but want to use the "normal" MIDI In/Out ports? Best Regards, Thorsten.
Laslo
I made sure as to not ever touch the 232 PIC, it's still in its wrapping :PAs i was typing this post i managed to find the problem, a slight short solder that i had missed earlier. Thanks for your reply Thorsten :)Laslo.
