Guest funkmasterkola Posted April 3, 2003 Report Posted April 3, 2003 I completed my mb16e today and got some weird problem. when i'm turning my knobs i read that it vary only 2-3 values per one turn. with this it is impossible to control anything. maybe i missed something?
Guest funkmasterkola Posted April 3, 2003 Report Posted April 3, 2003 i got standard setup - Normal/Absolute :(
LO Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 which encoders did you use?How many detents do they have?
Guest funkmasterkola Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 I went to the shop and said 'give me linear 10k pots', and what i'm holding are "10k-A" pots. And i measure 5k at the middle of them [just like the faq said].
Guest funkmasterkola Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 hahahahha ;D ;D ;Doh SH*T.... i think you got me! so as the beginner i got to go to the shop and get the 'encoders', right? So concentrated about picking up correct pots, that didn't notice that what i need are encoders [maybe for some reason i was thinking it is the same thing ;)].What do you sugest now? Because weekend is coming and shops are closed. I can get AIN pcb in 1hour, so should i go for the MB64 pic, and connect 16 pots to it? Don't want spent another 40euros on that box for the encoders and wait 5 days more ;).
LO Posted April 6, 2003 Report Posted April 6, 2003 haha ;Ddepends on what you need it for?I have only used pot's cause I could get them alot cheaper. You could just build a MB16?Good luck tho!LO
Guest funkmasterkola Posted April 7, 2003 Report Posted April 7, 2003 I burned pic with MB64, changed DIN board with AIN board, and made new connection between pots. Right now it is working! It's great! ;)
