carsten_the_dane Posted November 4, 2006 Report Posted November 4, 2006 HiI want to build a very simple analog synth. Can you perhaps help my a link.ThanksCarsten Quote
Tanstaafl Posted November 4, 2006 Report Posted November 4, 2006 go check out this guy's website. I have built quite a few of the VCO's, VCA's VCF's and Envelope generators. They work very well with MidiBox-CV.http://www.musicfromouterspace.com/analogsynth.php?page=ANALOGgood luck,gb Quote
HL-SDK Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 I tried to do his VCF... it still doesnt work but I dont have much to test it with so I'll never know... As for analog synths, you should either build a resistor network 1v/oct keyboard, or get a midi->CV interface first. Then get a dual power supply. (+/-12 or 15 volts) After those two, good luck, I hope you don't go broke! :-p Quote
pay_c Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 The Simplesizer is a pretty famous DIY project here in Germany:http://www.sequencer.de/forumsynth/simplesizer.htmlBut unfortunately it´s in german, I dunno if it´s available in english somewhere, perhaps a little googling will help here. carsten_the_dane Posted November 6, 2006 Author Report Posted November 6, 2006 Looks interesting. Especially the simplesizer, i like that there is a forum around the project, even though it is mostly german./Carsten Quote
carsten_the_dane Posted November 7, 2006 Author Report Posted November 7, 2006 How about the soundlabHas anyone experience with this little buddy. Looks relatively simple ?/Carsten Quote
seppoman Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 Hi,I haven´t heard or seen anything from him in real world, but his stuff looks nice:http://www.elby-designs.com/e.g. the ASM-2 is a relatively simple analog synthesizer that can either be built as a modular or a hard-wired version. The Pixie also looks nice, but is more expensive.Seppoman Quote
Tanstaafl Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 Yes, the Soundlab uses modified modules from Ray Wilson's site. It is V/Oct. not sure of the price if you buy a kit. I had good luck with all of the modules I built (DIY) which he designed. Paia has the Fatman, it's V/Hz. It cost 150 USD. I have built a couple of these (DIY) not the kits, and have been happy with thier performance. The rest of my gear is V/Oct, so I built an extra MidiBox CV to control the Fatmen.Good luck,gb Quote
carsten_the_dane Posted November 7, 2006 Author Report Posted November 7, 2006 Thanks for the feedback/Carsten Quote
