Doing the optimized PSU. I have all the parts together. and -5/5V coming out of the correct pins. But I cannot find the AC current. my multimeter is set to AC but I still cannot find the right pins???

I also just unpluged the power cable from the PSU and tested the pins. the DC works fine. The 2 AC pins are getting no reading? Any suggestions? I switched my multimeter to 50V~ for the measurement.

Thanks

Check it at the end of the commodore connector on the right pins for AC before plugging it into PSU to make sure your power supply is good.

it depends. if it's a PC PSU, then not really, they introduce too much noise into the system. also, you have to give the 7812s 14VDC or more, as they gobble up 2V on their own, so, unless the transformer is outputting a regulated 12VDC or 12VAC, you'll have to look elsewhere....
