SID Latency

I am getting a noticable latency from my MIDIBox SID project, roughly 20ms or so.

Has others gotten similar latency numbers?

What could be the source of it?

Doing some percussive parts are tough with that latency as I need to move the tracks back in time in the sequencer to compensate.

it's probably your MIDI interface that have some latency, there is somewhere here an MB app that can help you to know the perf of your MIDI interface, in the "mios toy of the week...

So I guess I will need to rely on sounds which have no release information if I care to have them punchy  :(

Compression can help a fair bit.
