Midi Box 64 Power supply

Hello everybody!

I´ve read  "Core power supply theory of operation" and

so I understand the higher the voltage the higher the temperature.

But I´m no expert. Could you answer me whether a  12v PSU will produce to much heat in the 7505 regulator without extra heatsink?
