jrp Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 Hi togetherI found these encoders, they are quite cheap (0,75e) and contain a push switch.http://www.pollin.de/shop/downloads/D240313D.PDFWhat i can´t read out of the datasheet is what kind of switch these are exactly. It´s labled SPST Push on.Is that a switch or a button?Do you think they can be used for a seq? Buttons and encoders in one is a nice feature i think. Quote
MTE Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 Hithis button works pushed On ... released Off ;) , but for the SEQ you should use separate buttons for the general purpose functions, for better handling.I did this mistake on my SEQ and that wasnt good choiceRegards Quote
jrp Posted May 13, 2007 Author Report Posted May 13, 2007 Why? Did you accidently change values when pushing the encoder? Quote
MTE Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 exactly ;)but look here is a better choice for this encoder button ;Dhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZA25gg70Bc Quote
jrp Posted May 14, 2007 Author Report Posted May 14, 2007 CoolAnother idea for those encoders (since they are cheap i´m gonna order some - hope the´ll pay out...)Parallel wire the buttons for the "fast" button. So when turning and pushing any button the inc/dec will be accelerated. Quote
MTE Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 Oh cool thnx for the hint :)... Ill put it to my Pimp-My-SEQ-V3-ToDo-List ;D Quote
