banneduser Posted May 5, 2003 Posted May 5, 2003 I just thought i'd point out that I could no longer order the 16F from the microchip sample site, not really a problem for most, but it could well indicate that production of the device is scheduled to cease however I truly hope this is not the case...

pay_c Posted May 6, 2003 Posted May 6, 2003 As you first get the 16F and the 18F for nearly the same price that doesnt matter. And second as you get the samples for *free(^^)* that absolutely doesnt matter at all.

The midio128 has led me into several other applications for 877's, a good chip. Thanks to Thorsten....... Monte
banneduser Posted May 7, 2003 Author Posted May 7, 2003 Id forget it and go with the pic18f452, get 3 of the free samples, and since u can get 5 total free samples get two of the PLCC versions , cause they are not cheap. I am going to redesign stuff to work with the PLCC chips soon.
