Synergic Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 hI to all!!Is there any way to assign the play, stop, etc transtport buttons on FL to our midiboxes?Thanx
abcmann Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 If you have a multimedia keyboard you can use the Play/Pause button to Start/Pause FL Studio, and the Stop button to stop and return the song position marker to the beginning of the Playlist. The FF/RW buttons will jump between Playlist Time Markers, if present.
Sasha Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 That sounds it could be useful even those MM buttons are usually crap, but no MIDI support for transport buttons? What do they think of???
stryd_one Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 Last time I used FL I used SPP for these functions and everything could be mapped to a midi event, so I will be very surprised if it's not possible. If you don't have a multimedia keyboard there are all manner of ways to remap your keys and create custom shortcuts.
Synergic Posted August 20, 2007 Author Report Posted August 20, 2007 SPP?? What is that? And,,,can i asign them to the midibox?
stryd_one Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 SPP is Song Position Pointer but I am abbreviating and using it to refer to all the similar functions like Song Start/Stop etc. I haven't used Fruity in years so I really couldn't tell you whether they are supported. Those messages in particular may need an external clock. That said, fruity has a flexible midi implementation so I would guess that it's possible to remote control it somehow..
