mono-poly
HiHas anyone tought about making an opl-3 voice for a modular?Would be coul to have a stripped down version of the midibox fm synth. To use as a modular voice/vco with some cv options for pitch etc.But maybe i just talk and this isn't possible at all. *jOi~
Just a humble opinion, but isn't the FM already pretty simplified. All of the sound is generated on chip, and it seems that as is would be a great audio source for a modular. I guess the complicated bit is the controls you use.If you want to control pitch etc. I believe it would be a case of requiring an AIN module that you could assign to certain parameters in the FM program.I haven't built one.. so I don't really know..Trent
mono-poly
Yeah that sounds fun.But it;s not clear to me lol.It would be cool to have some cv inputs for some parameters. And perhaps a switch to select how the operators are configured. But maybe that's not possible at all. Jaicen
It would definitely be possible. All it really requires is a little customisation of the firmware, and a number of DIN and AIN boards, (maybe some DOUT's too). I can't help you do it, but do a search and you'll find all the info needed.
