DrBunsen Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 Portable retro gaming handheld that emulates various console systems on an FPGA.I found this on Ben Heck's console modding site - he's doing the case design. No word on pricing as of yet. But check it - a user-programmable FPGA in a case with buttons, USB slave, SD slot, a colour display, audio, and a link port :) Depending on pricing, which will probably be cheap given the intended market, this would possibly be an attractive FPGA development platform.the heart of the systems is a Xilinx Spartan 3 and some supporting logic' date=' including a microcontroller ... the system is completly open and documented; also we will provide the source code for the tools as well, so you will be able to implement any system that can be handled by the hardware. ... The price is going to be less than $75 in stores and about $50 fordirect online sales. Quote
