Hi all,

I'm trying to use the MIDI Box concept (which I think, btw, is beautiful) using the PIC16F873 chip instead of the 877 chip. Has anyone done this already and can help me with assembly code?

did you mean 874?

I know that some of the old firmwares will work with th PIC16F874, notably the mb64, but I would suggest only using this for the very simple projects... merger, transport buttons, or maybe mb16

if you can wait a few months, you can try ordering samples from microchip website. I suggest you start with the PIC18F452 if you can, but check the firmware supports this first
