  1. Hi, I got my midi io 128 assembled, with sd card. i can store and recall configs via mios studio, but i can't figure out how to load a specific config on start up. Every time i unplug the USB, it's always loading a fresh config (which is also the first i saved). Thank you ! louis
  2. What do you mean by "termination" ?
  3. Thank you ! So, basically i should be able to chain 4 DINs and 4 DOUTs in any order and just plug the fist J1 to the J8/9 of the Core ? Gonna work on it back on thursday. louis
  4. Thank you for the picture. Sadly, you don't seem to have the same core as me. And one thing bothers me : how could you possibly chain a DIN to a DOUT ?? SmashTV's doc is really clear about it : DINs can be linked to DINs, and DOUTs to DOUTs.... I'll be out for three days, i ll try to get in touch with Tim from SmashTV louis. Thanks again
  5. Please check the connection part at the bottom of these pages : http://www.avishowtech.com/mbhp_dinR5.html and http://www.avishowtech.com/mbhp_doutR5.html. Which row should i use ? How would you connect the ribbon cables (avoiding soldering would be more elegant) ? maybe with a 5 pin connector ? (i hope i didn't broke anything with my wrong wiring test...) thank you very much. louis
  6. That the connector i've tried. Sorry but i still don't get it. Let's see : a 10 (2*5) connector in the J8/9 of the core. No prob. But then, one half of the wires go to the DIN chain and the other half to the DOUT chain, right ? So it makes 5 and 5 wires, but going to 10 and 10 connectors. i think one row is useless in the J1 DINs and DOUTs connectors ? A photo would be great of course.
  7. Both DOUT and DIN go to the J8/9 connector of the core, right ? 5 pins for the DIN and 5 for the DOUT chains, right ? But on my DIN and DOUT modules, the J1 connectors have 10 pins, not 5.
  8. hummm, i've read that several DIN and DOUT were linked with the J2... Let me check this.... thank you
  9. Hi, i've mounted my core, my 4 DIN and my 4 DOUT. I installed the MIOS32 bootloader. And (unless i am wrong) i've loaded the basic MIDIO template with the MIOSSTUDIO. So i thought i was ready to do some tests. But : The J1 on DOUT and DIN are 2*5 pins, but on the schematics, they are supposed to be 1*5. What's the reason for this ? So which rank of pins should be used ? Can i find somewhere some pictures of detailed inside of midio128 ? i'd like to know an elegant way of pugging all these. (on a side note, as a newbie, i plugged the 2*5 J1 of my DIN to the 2*5 J8/9 of the core, to make tests....this resulted by heating the ICs on the DIN, could the be broken ?) Thank you. I'll come back very soon with new problems, but believe me, i am doing my best. louis
  10. Ok the core is finished. When i plug the USB, the led on the LPCxpresso lights up. It's a good sign ain't it ? I still have to install to MIOS32 bootloader... One question though : i got a J26 which doesn't appear on the documentation, what is it for ? and no J27 on the board, unless i am blind.
  11. Thank you Tim ! for 1. Let me rephrase it : where should i put pin 1 ? for 2. i have no idea what JTAG is, so i think i'll go for the first version (like in the pictures) for 3. i figured it out in the meanwhile ! for 4. ok i'll try again.... for 5. makes sense Thank you again for everything ! louis
  12. Oh, and the DIL headers are a pain to cut, have you any advice ?
  13. Hi again, i having several questions : 1. I dont know the polarity of IC4 and IC5. They have just one dot (i think marking the first leg) 2. check out the picture showing the bottom of the LPCXpresso's bottom. Ok for the two 27pins SIL headers. For the right side it's said "one 2x6-pin DIL header and a 6-pin SIL header for the right side" but obviously on the picture it's SIL headers. and for the left side : has it to be soldered on the main core board ? Or just putting headers to connect the debugger is enough ? (on picture 8 of the soldering guide of the Core, no DIL headers are put). 3.The J17, J15_S, J27 jumpers : maybe the parts provided by avishowtech are wrong, but i have no idea on how to deal with them. 4. The X1 component : the legs are too big to fit in the holes, should i enlarge the holes ? I hope i am clear, sorry for these questions, and thank you louis
  14. Hi, i have a doubt on how to solder the R2 and R33 on the core module. what does "appr. square pad" ? like the closest corner ? In other terms, looking at the photos, dot of R33 is left, dot of R2 is right ? Thanks ! louis
  15. Déterrage : on peut le trouver, ce fameux PDF ? Merci !
  16. Hey thank you very much ! Can i ask if there is a website where i can buy all the elements in a easy way ? i am located in france.
  17. Hi everyone, i am brand new on this forum, so hello ! I want to make a MIDI controller, preferably USB wired, with only buttons with leds in it (those from sparkfun i think). Lets say a big launchpad. Bidirectional communication and single color leds. Around 90 buttons, i guess. Any help on what i will need for this would be greatly appreciated ! i am lost in all this midibox thing right now, but i have no fear and i am prepared to suffer ! Thanks, louis
